Why is OBTranslate concentrating on Africa and Asia languages only?
Our goal is to break the barrier of communication between people in rural and urban areas in Africa and Asia continent.
Are European translators allowed on OBTranslate?
Yes, anybody on planet earth or other planet, that can speak or write Africa or Asia languages is allowed here.
At the moment, we are not concentrating on European languages on OBTranslate.
Why is OBTranslate free for translators to earn revenue? Is it going to change in near future?
OBTranslate is always going to be free, for translators that are constantly translating languages in pair and improving our deep machine learning neural networks. We created OBTranslate with an innovative business model to guarantee that the tool is sustainable to pay translators and researchers.
With OBTranslate, you can take up translation tasks and earn revenue instantly, but you also have the option to outsource the translation to other translators in our community.
How many tasks are currently waiting to be translated on OBTranslate?

How does OBTranslate generate revenue?
OBTranslate generate revenue for translators and researchers through Ads monetization networks. Period!
Will OBTranslate sell my personal data to advertisers?
No, we won't sell your data to advertisers, we have partnered with Google and other responsible advertising networks.
Advertising keeps OBTranslate profitable. We do share a part of our Ads monetization revenue with our translators. We are working hard to make sure that ads are safe, unobtrusive, and as relevant as possible. We do not run pop-up ads on OBTranslate, and we terminate the accounts of advertisers that violate our policies each year – including ads containing malware, ads for counterfeit goods, or ads that attempt to misuse your personal information.
How private are my translations and translation memories?
Only the person who has created a translation project has access to it (the “owner”) and its content will not be shared with anyone else. There might be suggestions or notifications or messages to you from from other users, but your translation segments will never be public to other users.
Is it possible to restart the translation from where I left off?
Yes. OBTranslate saves the translation projects. You can continue from where you left off.
Meanwhile other translators will be fully active, there are 1 billion translation task on OBTranslate.
How and when can i request for payment?
You can request payments for your translation project(s) in the following way:
- All translation project has a unique automated generated invoice, just click your "request payment button". We will effect payment as soon as our language researchers verify that your translation is correct. Our account department receives your automated generated invoice.
However, at the point of requesting payments, in order to generate an automated invoice for your project, OBTranslate will demand that you upgrade your account, your personal information (e.g full names, email address, telephone number and address) must be the same with your bank account or PayPal account. It is forbidden to use OBTranslate with fake information, your account will be terminated.
Should my bank account or paypal account name be the same with my names on OBTranslate?
Yes, it must be the same. It is absolutely forbidden to use OBTranslate with fake information, your account will be terminated.
When is pay day?
- The first week of a new month.
NOTE: All payment request invoice must reach our account department on the 1st of every new month.
How secure are my personal information on OBTranslate?
OBTranslate uses secret chats use end-to-end encryption. OBTranslate uses a distributed Cloud infrastructure. Cloud chat data is stored in multiple data centres around the globe that are controlled by different legal entities spread across different jurisdictions. Collection of data when using OBTranslate
In the case of purely informational use of the website, ie if you do not register or otherwise provide us with information, we only collect the personal data that your browser transmits to our server. If you wish to view our website, we collect the following data which is technically necessary for us to inform you about our website and to ensure its stability and security (legal basis is Art. 6 (1) sentence 1 lit.
